At Davidson’s Mains Optometrists we examine lots of children’s eyes, from babies and toddlers to teenagers!

We ensure the examination is fun and engaging, with the pace of the examination set to what each child can cope with on the day. It’s always a very interactive experience with lots of praise and encouragement throughout.

Should any vision problems need corrected with glasses, we stock a large range of frames in all colours and styles for your child to choose from. Most of our children’s glasses are free of charge with the NHS voucher issued when a child requires their sight to be corrected.
We also have lots of children who wear contact lenses as well as glasses! Contact lenses can be super for sport and teenagers often enjoy contact lenses for social times too.

Prescription sports goggles and prescription swimming goggles are also popular with children and we supply both.

Prescription sunglasses are important to protect youngster’s eyes from harmful rays and we stock a large selection at very affordable prices.
